Information stored on your device
Personalization choices, favourites, reading progress, japa count and some interface preferences may be stored locally in your browser so the experience can continue on the same device.
Content Dashboard
The private Admin dashboard uses username, a scrypt-hashed password, a time-based authenticator code, rate limiting and a short-lived secure session. Admin secrets are server-only and must never be placed in public VITE_ variables.
Advertising and cookies
After advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure and personalize ads where permitted. Visitors can manage browser settings and any consent controls displayed on the site.
Google account (optional)
If you choose Google sign-in, Prembhajan receives the account information needed to identify your account and can sync supported preferences, favourites and progress. You can continue using the public website without signing in.
Optional profile details
A signed-in user may optionally save a preferred name, phone number and address. These details are stored with that account, can be edited, and are not displayed in community rankings. The profile photo remains the photo supplied by Google and cannot be uploaded through Prembhajan.
Bhakti Rankings
For signed-in users, Prembhajan records lifetime Naam Jap count and approximate active foreground time to provide devotional progress rankings. Hidden tabs, the Admin page and tabs inactive for two minutes are not counted. Rankings show only a first name and last initial; they do not show email, phone, address, Google photo or account identifiers.
Razorpay support payments
If you voluntarily support Prembhajan, payment processing is handled by Razorpay. Prembhajan does not receive your UPI PIN or complete card/banking credentials. Payment identifiers and amount may be stored for verification and support records.
Location for Panchang
When you choose “Use my location”, the browser asks permission before providing coordinates. Panchang calculations run locally in Prembhajan; the site does not send those coordinates to a paid Panchang provider.
YouTube videos
Embedded or linked YouTube videos are provided by Google/YouTube. Playing a video may send technical information to that service under its own privacy terms. Prembhajan uses privacy-enhanced YouTube embed URLs where supported.
Analytics and logs
The hosting provider and optional analytics tools may process IP address, browser, device, page and diagnostic information for security, performance and usage measurement.
